The Master Behind Bars

Escaped from the orphanage in his childhood and separated from his best friend. Manages to learn magic tricks from a magician. Exposed to the harsh world at such a young age, he learned to survive the adversities and adapt quickly.

Aditya grows up to be a con artist, changing his name and profession as per the situation and involving himself in white-collar crimes. One day, he meets a woman named Yatra. Her eyes, embodied with kajal, play a significant role throughout the movie. They gradually grow closer, and after a while, Aditya expresses his feelings and proposes to marry her. She agrees. Aditya's happiness knew no bounds, but little did he know that his joy wouldn't last long. The next morning, Yatra disappears. He was arrested on charges of terrorism and sentenced to death. But was he ever a terrorist?

Living in prison, he recalls the magician's words, "If humans had the power to disappear, everyone would disappear. Only birth and death are in our hands. One day, life becomes heavy. Who wouldn't wanna escape from that burden?" He then understands the meaning behind the magician's words.

In prison, he develops an interest in chess and masters the game. Recognizing his potential, an inmate encourages him to participate in tournaments. Aditya makes headlines with his victories, earning the nickname “The Master Behind Bars.” His childhood best friend identifies him from the news, and they reconcile. He appeals to the president and the public, seeking mercy and the abolition of his death sentence. When the nation agrees to forgive him, another bomb blast occurs, erasing all the mercy and trust Aditya had gained.

One day before his scheduled death sentence, Aditya asks for his last wish, to play a match with the grandmaster. As the game goes on, Aditya takes permission to go to the washroom. Eight police officers escort him, and he takes out a cigar after he's done. The police allow him to savor his last puff of smoke as he's gonna die in a few hours. After seconds, the whole room fills with smoke. When the smoke cleared, the realization hit the guards like a jolt—Aditya had vanished.

The grandmaster, waiting for his opponent, notices something significant written on Aditya's notation sheet. He realizes that Aditya had calculated the next few steps of the game and checkmated him. Impressed by his opponent’s moves, the grandmaster applauds proudly.

How did Aditya escape? No one knew. After a few months, the world forgot about him and was distracted by the new sensational news.
